Sunday, July 11th is yet another significant day in what we’ve been calling the “cosmic summer” of 2010. At the culmination of the Grand Cross alignment of the planets, the New Moon passes in front of the sun in a total Solar Eclipse. The stars are in alignment this day, and we recommend taking advantage of these powerful energies for transformation and manifestation. Regardless of your conscious intent, the energies will be working in your life, but in working with them consciously you can take things to the next level. Consider what’s happening in your life, what you’d like to let go of and what you’d like to start creating. Could you use a powerful wave of energy working alongside you in this areas? Who couldn’t use a boost these days?

Eclipses are about transformation and acceleration. They can often be chaotic days if you are not prepared. If you’ve been keeping in balance this summer and are prepared for further change and growth, this day can be used to further accelerate the progress you’ve been making. On the other hand, if you’re attached to outcomes, clinging to the past or not able to flow with the new energies, this eclipse may be a bit uncomfortable.

You are not alone if you have experienced some difficulty in these changes, nor does it mean bad things are coming your way! What an intense summer it has been! With the constant start-stop of energy and inspiration, the intense release of old patterns and structures, the beginning of a new wave of societal collapse and so much more happening at this time, it can be a very difficult feat to stay in balance. If you are feeling uncomfortable, be with the changes and try to understand more deeply what is happening in your life and in the cosmos. Don’t judge yourself or get stressed out over it. The best thing to do is go deep into the emotions you are experiencing and try to understand where they are coming from. To work with these transformational energies, even during a time of such uncertainty, can be incredibly evolutionary for you. Use this time to let go of the old emotions and patterns that may be surfacing at this time, and start fresh.

New Moons are typically associated with new beginnings. They may also mark the end of an old period, prompting us to start working toward something new. Toward the end of the convergences, eclipses and alignments the last few months have brought, we are reaching the end of this particular transition period. We’re being given a clean slate in more ways than one on this auspicious day.

Since the beginning of this year, we’ve been slowly releasing our grip on the old reality we’ve grown so accustomed to. That world is coming to an end, and a new one is taking its place. In order to step into that new reality, we have to make some serious changes to the way we live our lives and interact with our Earth and those around us. This is the reason for the intense and sometimes uncomfortable transformations that have been taking place this year.

Looking back, we’ve had quite a ride. At the end of 2009, the Earth moved into a higher frequency location in the Universe, preparing the Earth for its rebirth. The overlay was created, and in early 2010 we stepped into that new space. The first few months of this year may have been quite uncomfortable, as many of us were finding our old lives falling apart. It was time for a new location, a new profession, a new passion. Dreams of the future held things together during these months of preparation. We looked forward to the summer, which promised even further growth.

Beltane on May 1st was a significant day that started preparing us for what was to come. As is tradition, fires were lit and maintained all night, all over the world. Fire, a symbol of manifestation and purification, is often used on this day to release the old and begin creating the new. Fire has the power to destroy and create, to understand and to act.

May 13th was a New Moon, and a significant one for those of the Leo persuasion. It is for this reason that we chose to launch The Astrarium on this day.

The Harmonic Convergence of May 27th and 28th kicked off the summer with a new dose of Cosmic Consciousness. Never before have we been so aware of ourselves and those around us. As things continue to escalate on the Earth, it was necessary for us to become more aware of our connections to all other Life on this planet. This date connected us more deeply to each other, and to the new energies streaming in at that time.

In the weeks leading up to June 13th, we began grounding this energy into our lives. The New Moon at June 13th began the progression of the Grand Cross Planetary Alignment, which hit its center point on June 26th with a Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse. The planets rarely align in this type of formation, and when they do, it marks a period of intense change on the Earth and in our individual lives. The upset and sometimes turmoil caused by this intense transformation is exactly what is culminating on July 11th with this Solar Eclipse. We are literally being blocked from the Sun and the celestial bodies in our solar system for a brief moment, which wipes the slate clean to start over with something new.

But it’s not over yet folks! According to the Mayan Calendar, another time to note is the Conscious Convergence of July 17th and 18th, which begins the preparatory stages of the Ninth Wave of consciousness, which will build to a new found sense of Unity in March of 2011. No doubt that the intense transformational energies working during this summer were setting the stage for this next wave of evolution. You’ll be glad to hear, however, that the time from August 2010 to March 2011 will find us in more stable situations, at least relatively. Keep in mind that as the collective undergoes this transformation, the outside world will still appear to be in a state of degradation. Isn’t it interesting that even while things are getting so much worse, they also get so much better? What fascinating times we live in!

We hope the preceding helped to put the last few months and the next year or so into perspective. Use this eclipse as a time of preparation for what’s about to come, informed by what you’ve been through and accomplished earlier this year. We’re somewhere in the middle now, and while that can be uncomfortable, we’ve never been more aware of all we have to look forward to, or literally CREATE in our lives and the world around us. Start focusing on that. Let the old beliefs and patterns go that keep you in the old world. Begin focusing on your new life and that which you’d like to create. The energy is behind you at this time and will carry you forward, if you’re on the right track. Any setbacks or changes in course along the way are all part of the process. You are right where you need to be, and there’s no need to worry.

The underlying message throughout this whole cosmic summer has been to let go and flow with the changes. You’re probably tired of hearing with that, and dealing with it in your daily life. But that’s the message. It can’t get much simpler than that. So even while your life may be dismantling around you, try to find solace in what you love and what truly inspires you. Good things are on the way.
