We are living in a truly momentous time. Next week marks a significant point in the evolution of our Universe, according to Carl Johan Calleman’s interpretation of the Mayan Calendar. In fact, to merely use the word significant is a significant understatement. Calleman believes are approaching the beginning of the ninth and final wave of the calendar; a wave which will last only a few short months, and a wave that if acted upon will propel humanity to it’s highest level of consciousness: that of Unity.
According to the Hollywood interpretation of the 2012 phenomenon, the end is nigh (maybe) and there’s nothing we can do to stop it. Fortunately, most people don’t believe this, at least not so simply. However, there can be no doubt that a change or rebirth is direly needed on our planet if we’re going to live here much longer. As they say, something’s got to give. Calleman’s view of the Mayan Calendar’s true meaning is that humanity is being given an opportunity to work with energies that will uplift us to a higher realm of consciousness. This is an opportunity, a choice that we will have to take in order to take advantage of what’s being offered.
At this time, it is up to us as individuals and as a collective to decide what comes next for us. Will we continue to plunder the Earth of her precious resources until they’re all gone? Or will we strive to discover new ways to live in harmony with the Earth, even if that means giving up our current model of society? It’s up to us to make this decision, the calendar won’t do it for us. The dates revealed by Calleman are merely reminders of changes that need to take place in our world. We are the ones who must listen and take action.
On July 17th and 18th last year, gatherings and ceremonies were held all over the world to celebrate the Conscious Convergence, the date that Calleman suggests sets into motion the march toward Unity Consciousness this year. As of March 9th, 2011, the ninth wave will begin. But what does this mean, and how does it affect us personally?
The simplest way to put it is that waiting for change is no longer an option. Now is the time to take action, while these ripe cosmic energies are in motion. It’s time to start thinking about what Unity means to you, what a new and improved world would look like. It’s time to start acting on those ideas, taking one small step at a time. It’s time to truly be the change we wish to see in the world, and know that our words and actions are making a difference in the collective.
So on March 9th, 2011, consider holding a ceremony of your own or with a group, to set your intentions for a better world. The energy created by groups like these coming together all over the world will have a very palpable effect on the collective consciousness. Together we can work towards creating a better future for all of us to share.
